A herd of four wild elephants has destroyed Chhattisgarh's Marwahi Forest Division by damaging houses, triggering panic and fear among local villagers.
The locals of the affected area complained that the Marwahi Beat guards did nothing and no early warnings were given to them.
"There has been continuous movement of elephants in Bandhavgarh Tiger Reserve since 2018. It was felt that if their identity is established, it would be very helpful in monitoring them and studying their behaviour."
