In the incident, seven people, including three children and three women, were electrocuted to death during the 'Ulta Rath' while 16 people sustained injuries.
Seven people died and 16 others sustained severe burn injuries after being electrocuted during the Ulta Rath Yatra in Tripura's Unakoti district on Wednesday.
Officials said that the victims were carrying the body of a woman to a local burial ground on Friday, a day after her death when the incident took place.
"Three people including a mother-daughter duo and son-in-law were electrocuted early morning of May 14. The mother-daughter, Khairul Nessa and Muhata Begum died while one was injured," police said.
