The ruling Trinamool Congress (TMC) faces a major challenge from the Bharatiya Janata Party. Amid this, the TMC, led by Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee, has not initiated any alliance discussions with the Congress or any ally, despite being part of the Opposition's INDIA Bloc.
Speaking to ANI, Boro said the party remains open to alliances and is in discussions with various political parties, including the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), while also preparing to contest independently if required.
Party leaders described the move as "an indication of increasing public support for Congress ahead of the elections," emphasising unity and organisational strength as key factors in the campaign.
