Sanjay Kumar Singh won decisively with 87,641 votes, defeating RJD candidate Mukesh Kumar Raushan, who secured 42,644 votes, while Tej Pratap Yadav managed only 35,703 votes, losing to the winner by a staggering 51,938 votes.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi called Congress "Muslim League Maoist Congress (MMC)," and stated that a faction within the party does not agree with this "negative agenda."
As per the latest data, the Bharatiya Janata Party has emerged as the single largest party with 76 seats, followed closely by the Janata Dal (United), which has secured 59 seats.

The Imamganj Assembly constituency in Bihar delivered a decisive mandate in the 2025 assembly elections, with Deepa Kumari of the Hindustani Awam Morcha (Secular) securing a commanding victory. Kumari won with 1,04,861 votes, finishing 25,856 votes ahead of her nearest competitor.
