Following the Election Commission of Pakistan's (ECP) order, President Arif Alvi approved the removal of the advisor to caretaker Prime Minister Ahad Cheema, The Express Tribune reported.
The top electoral body will issue the list of candidates on January 11, with candidates having the option to withdraw until January 12, i.e., before the ECP allots electoral symbols on January 13.
The decision of the PTI comes after the electoral watchdog declared its intra-party polls "void," which had declared Barrister Gohar Ali Khan as the party's new chairman.
In the latest development, Muhammad Yahya Rasheed, counsel for PTI NA-127 candidate Ejaz Chaudhry, lodged a written complaint with the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP).
