Reacting to the vote theft allegation against the Election Commission of India (ECI) by the opposition, Uttar Pradesh Minister Swatantra Dev Singh said that the Election Commission was doing its work to verify the voters and anyone having concerns were welcomed to raise their issues.
Earlier in the day, over 272 eminent citizens, including 16 Judges, 123 retired bureaucrats, 14 Ambassadors, 133 retired armed forces officers, wrote an open letter condemning the repeated "assault on national constitutional authorities" by Leader of Opposition Rahul Gandhi.
"They (ECI) didn't give any answer to the evidence which was presented by Rahul Gandhi. If you reject evidence, then you tell on what basis it was done. Only to say that Rahul Gandhi is wrong is not correct," Khurshid told ANI.
