Describing ASEAN (The Association of Southeast Asian Nations) as a crucial pillar of India's Act East Policy, External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar on Thursday said that it plays an important role in the emerging dynamic of the Indo-Pacific.
External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar met his Russian counterpart Sergey Lavrov in Jakarta today and discussed the Ukraine conflict amongst other talks.

External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar will embark on a six-day visit to two nations from July 12-18. In the first leg of his visit, the EAM will reach Indonesia to attend Foreign Ministers’ Meetings under the ASEAN on July 13-14 and then he will go to Thailand for the Foreign Minis

While co-chairing the 10th India-Tanzania Joint Commission Meeting in Dar es Salaam on Saturday, External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar called the two nations "important trade partners" and added that bilateral relations have always been strong since independence.
