The evacuation came days after External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar spoke to his Saudi Arabia counterpart and Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Friday chaired a high-level meeting to review the security situation in Sudan.

External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar called on the President of Guyana Irfaan Ali on Saturday and noted his enthusiasm for Millets after his visit to India.
External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar met his counterpart from Saint Lucia Alva Baptiste and said that he appreciated his insights at the India-CARICOM ministerial held in Guyana on Friday.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi instructed all officials concerned to remain vigilant, closely monitor the developments and continuously evaluate the safety of Indians in Sudan, according to the official statement released by Prime Minister's Office.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Friday chaired a high-level meeting to discuss the situation in Sudan as well as the status of Indian nationals in the violence-hit country.
The EAM will make official visits to Guyana (April 21-23), Panama (April 24-25), Colombia (April 25-27) and the Dominican Republic (April 27-29), the Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) said.
