Terming the arrest of Congress MLA Sukhpal Singh Khaira in connection with a 2015 drugs case, as a political vendetta, the party's Punjab unit chief Amarinder Singh Raja Warring on Thursday said that the border state has turned into Jungle Raj.
As Punjab Police arrested Congress MLA Sukhpal Singh Khaira in connection with a 2015 drugs case, the president of the grand old party Mallikarjun Kharge on Thursday said that the party does not tolerate injustice.
According to officials, the raid was carried out on Wednesday afternoon at Nowdapara Railgate adjacent to National Highway 34 which falls under the jurisdiction of Berhampore Police Station in the district.

In a joint operation Border Security Force (BSF) and Punjab Police, on Tuesday afternoon apprehended one suspected person and recovered two packets of narcotics suspected heroin near Daoke village in Punjab’s Amritsar.
