Delhi Police has arrested six accused who were involved in drug peddling across the city. Police said that the accused were found with 17.24 grams of smack, one scooty, one Grand Vitara car, and eight mobile phones.
The Punjab police continued its war against drugs under the "Yudh Nashian Virudh" which was waged by Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann to eradicate the drug menace from the state consecutively for the 12th day.
Srinagar Police in Jammu and Kashmir said they has arrested a drug dealer of New Delhi in connection with investigation of a drug peddling case wherein drugs were delivered by courier.
Speaking to the ANI, SP Gandhi said, "We are making every possible effort to eradicate drug-related activities, particularly targeting peddlers. Continuous action is being taken against those involved in these illegal activities."
Jammu and Kashmir Police have intensified their crackdown on drug peddling in the region, registering 94 cases under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act this year.
In a significant move to combat Drug abuse, Anantnag Police have attached property worth Rs 2 crores under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act, reinforcing their ongoing efforts against drug peddling networks, as per a press release.
The said property comprising of four-storied business establishment is situated in the heart of the Rajouri city and is valued at around Rs 1.74 crore, police said.
Hyderabad police arrested two persons in two separate drug peddling incidents and seized narcotic substances along with mobile phones and a two-wheeler on Saturday.
The Jammu and Kashmir police have attached the property of an infamous drug peddler at Handwara in the Kupwara district under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act (NDPS), said the police in an official statement on Thursday.
