As part of the 100-day action plan to make Andhra Pradesh a drug-free state, the NTR district police have arrested 11 individuals involved in ganja cases and seized 23.5 kg of ganja and stolen property worth 2.60 lakhs.
Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) Deputy Director General Neeraj Kumar Gupta on Monday stated that Prime Minister Narendra Modi has a vision to make the nation Drug-free by 2047. He further mentioned that 118 kg of heroin seized between 2021-2023 in Punjab has been disposed of today.
"Our government will not fall short in developing sports infrastructure. We are doing all this with the aim of creating a drug-free Tripura so that the younger generation stays away from drugs and focuses on sports," the Chief Minister affirmed.
The operation, spearheaded by SP Bhanupada Chakraborty, led to the confiscation of 10,000 Yaba tablets with an estimated market value of approximately 50 lakh rupees.

According to the statement from the Chief Minister's Office, CM Shinde on Wednesday directed to take strict action against illegal pubs, and bars in the city to make Thane and Mira-Bhainder city drug-free.

In an effort to promote a drug-free India, Delhi Police organized a walkathon at India Gate as part of their 'Nasha Mukt Bharat Pakhwara,' aiming to raise awareness about the perils of drug addiction.
