President Droupadi Murmu hosted a farewell dinner for the outgoing Council of Ministers, led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, at Rashtrapati Bhavan on Wednesday.
Earlier in the day, Prime Minister Narendra Modi has submitted his resignation, along with his council of ministers, to President Droupadi Murmu ahead of the formation of the next Bharatiya Janata Party-led NDA government.
"The news of the death of many people including children in a boat accident in Sheopur district of Madhya Pradesh is extremely sad. I express my deepest condolences to the bereaved families. I pray for the speedy recovery of those injured," the President said in a post on 'X'.
"On Goa's statehood day, I convey my greetings to all the residents of Goa. Goa is a land of great natural beauty and vibrant culture. The people of Goa are known for their progressive values and hospitality," President Murmu posted on X.
