Jharkhand Chief Minister Hemant Soren on Friday expressed deep grief over the passing of former Prime Minister Manmohan Singh, saying that he gave the nation a new direction and will always be remembered.
"Today morning, Government received a request to allocate space for a memorial for former Prime Minister Late Dr Manmohan Singh, from the Congress Party President," the MHA said in a statement.
"Dr Manmohan Singh's bold economic reforms transformed India's economy. His legacy continues to shape modern India, and his vision laid the foundations for today's thriving UK-India partnership. My deepest condolences to his family and the Indian people," Lammy said in a post on X.
