According to Additional Superintendent of Police Ramanand Kushwaha, authorities received information about the incident at around 4:15 am. The accident involved a van travelling from Delhi to Dholpur in Rajasthan and a double-decker bus heading from Noida to Gorakhpur.

Delhi CM Rekha Gupta launched the double-decker bus service in the national capital on Friday. Highlighting its features, the Chief Minister noted that the bus is a low-floor, 65-seater vehicle that is fully electric and emission-free.
"Today, to further expand our tourist sector, this double-decker bus you see, which used to run in Delhi many years ago... Today, once again after years, this double-decker bus will run on the roads of Delhi," she said.
