Former President Donald Trump has announced that he was dropping out of an ABC News debate scheduled for September 10 and instead, he has proposed an alternative debate with Vice President Kamala Harris, to face off on Fox News on September 4
Attacking the former President and her rival in the November presidential polls, Harris said she knows "Donald Trump's type" and has been dealing with people like him.
Ramaswamy recalled that Kamala Harris leaned onto her Indian American identity when she ran for office in California and added that she is wearing a different identity when it is politically convenient on a national stage.
Harris was speaking at a Houston fundraiser on Wednesday (local time), hours after Trump claimed that Harris, after being of "Indian heritage" for years, "turned black" a few years ago.
"She was always of Indian heritage, and she was only promoting Indian heritage. I didn't know she was black until a number of years ago, when she happened to turn black," Trump said.
US Vice President Kamala Harris, has erased former President Donald Trump's lead in seven key battleground states, roughly a week after becoming the likely Democratic nominee, The Hill reported.
Calling Harris' rival, former President Donald Trump, a "hollow man without a single noble quality", the Booker Prize-winning author said the alternative can't be allowed to happen.
The campaign, which announced its latest fundraising total on Sunday, said the bulk of the donations -- 66 per cent -- came from first-time contributors in the 2024 election cycle.
