Bajaj Auto Limited reported nearly flat total sales for June 2025 on a year-on-year basis, as gains in the commercial vehicle segment balanced the dip in two-wheeler sales.
According to Escorts Kubota Limited, the company's Agri Machinery Business showed strong export growth, even as domestic sales remained steady. Domestic tractor sales stood at 10,997 units in June 2025, slightly lower than 11,011 units in the same month last year.
All vehicle segments in the month of May 2025, posted a stable performance, according to a recent report by the society of Indian Automobile Manufacturers.
Hyundai Motor India Limited (HMIL) recorded total monthly sales of 58,701 units last month, this includes domestic sales of 43,861 units and exports of 14,840 units in May 2025, which shows the demand for the car overseas.
The announcement comes as HMIL marks a strong start to the new fiscal year with total sales of 60,774 units in April 2025, including 44,374 units sold in the domestic market and 16,400 units exported.
Tata Motors Limited on Thursday reported a 7 per cent decline in total domestic sales with 70,963 units sold in the month of April of the current year.
The Kia Sonet remained the top contributor to overall sales, accounting for 30 per cent of the total volume, followed by the Seltos (26 per cent), Carens (22 per cent), and the Syros (20 per cent).
Mahindra's Utility Vehicles (UV) segment saw domestic sales of 48,048 units, reflecting an 18 per cent increase from March 2024. The total sales, including exports, stood at 50,835 units. Meanwhile, the company's domestic commercial vehicle sales reached 23,951 units.
Demonstrating resilience and growth, the domestic automobile sales recorded a surge of 11.6 per cent, standing at over 2.54 crore units in calandar year (CY) 2024, compared to about 2.28 crore, as per the data released by Society of Indian Automobile Manufacturers (SIAM) on Tuesday.
In December 2024, HMIL reported total sales of 55,078 units, comprising 42,208 units sold domestically and 12,870 units exported. While these figures indicate a slight decline of 2.4 per cent compared to December 2023, they reaffirm the company's consistent performance throughout the year.
The two-wheeler segment faced headwinds in the domestic market, where sales fell by 19 per cent to 1,28,335 units from 1,58,370 units in December 2023.
The total passenger vehicle dispatches from companies to dealer witnessed a 4.1 per cent increase year on year in November to 3,47,522 units, according to a data released by Society of Indian Automobile Manufacturers (SIAM).
