Amid the delimitation row, the Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (DMK) MPs on Sunday passed a resolution to discuss the exercise in the upcoming parliament session, set to resume on March 10.
The resolution was passed in an all MPs meeting headed by Tamil Nadu Chief Minister and DMK President MK Stalin. DMK Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha members participated in the meeting held in Chennai Anna Arivalayam.
"We want clarity. The centre should tell us on what basis delimitation will be done, and they have to ensure that justice is done to our states and we should not be losing our representation in parliament," said Kanimozhi.
DMK MP Tiruchi Siva on Saturday claimed that the delimitation process will disadvantage southern states, adding that his party has raised its voice on the issue at the right time.
