Electricity, water supply and communications networks were disrupted in the Kaza area of Lahaul-Spiti district in the upper reaches of Himachal Pradesh on Saturday after a fresh of snowfall across the state, an official said.
After the fresh snowfall as per data available from the state Disaster Management Authority, 654 roads including four National Highways were closed, 1655 electricity supply schemes were hampered and 145 water supply schemes were also disrupted due to snowfall in the region.
As per the data available from the State Disaster Management Authority, "601 roads including 5 national Highways are closed and 1436 electricity supply schemes are hampered and 124 water supply schemes are also disrupted due to snowfall in the region."
