Amid the Cauvery-water sharing dispute between Karnataka and Tamil Nadu, Chief Minister Siddaramaiah has said that the centre government has not given permission for Mekedatu Project and Tamil Nadu people are creating disputes 'unnecessarily'.
Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah on Monday said that BJP should avoid doing politics on the Cauvery water row with Tamil Nadu adding that the state government is committed to protecting farmers.
"I had called JD(S) as BJP's B-team, it is getting proved now. JD(S) people used to get angry at me when I called them B-team. Also, they have named themselves as Secular -- Janata Dal (Secular) -- but have joined hands with the communal party," said Siddaramaiah.
