As of February 2, over 349.7 million (34.97 crore) devotees have participated in the sacred bathing ritual since the commencement of the Maha Kumbh Mela on January 13, according to the Uttar Pradesh Information Department.
Prayagraj witnessed a massive influx of devotees on the occasion of Basant Panchami, with thousands taking a holy dip in the sacred Triveni Sangam- the confluence of Ganga, Yamuna, and Saraswati.
The lead singer of Coldplay band, Christ Martin, along with his girlfriend and actress Dakota Johnson, took a holy dip at the Triveni Sangam during the ongoing Maha Kumbh Mela in Prayagraj on Saturday.
"Kejriwal has become dirty so he needs to be cleaned, after the elections, I will take him to Ganga and Brahmaputra and let him take a bath there, then he will understand that if govt wants Rivers can be cleaned," CM Himanta said.
"Arvind Kejriwal said that he will bring new political system, will finish corruption...He also promised that he would clean the Yamuna water within 5 years, and would take a dip in it but it is still dirty...I would ask him to drink it, we will meet in the hospital after that," Gandhi said
Minister of State for the Ministry of External Affairs (MoS), Pabitra Margherita, led a 110-member foreign delegation to visit the Maha Kumbh Mela in Prayagraj. The delegation included Heads of Mission, their spouses, and diplomats from 71 countries.
On the occasion of faith and devotion, more than 36.1 million devotees took a holy dip in the Triveni Sangam on Sunday, according to an official statement from the Uttar Pradesh Information Department.
Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath addressed a public rally in the Milkipur assembly constituency on Sunday, highlighting that, to date, 34 crore devotees have taken a holy dip in the Triveni Sangam.
The recent revision in ethanol prices has not lived up to expectations. While the Government of India increased prices for the Chandigarh route by 3 per cent, the anticipated hikes for the Bihar and Direct routes were not implemented, leading to some disappointment within the sector.
This comes after a stampede-like situation arose at Mahakumbh on January 29, in which at least 30 people were killed and 60 were injured. Till now twenty-five bodies have been identified.
