In the latest list, the Congress party have fielded Shaswat Kedar Pandey from Narkatiaganj, whereas it has announced Qamrul Hoda as their candidate from Kishanganj. Irfan Alam, Jitender Yadav and Mohan Shrivasta will contest elections from Kasba, Purnia and Gaya Town constituencies.

Jaiswal said that voters are becoming aware of the opposition's "head-to-head" clash and reiterated that the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) is going to form the government in Bihar with a two-thirds majority.

Speaking to reporters, Jaiswal said, "There is infighting going on in the Mahagathbandhan. The tug-of-war happening between RJD and Congress in the Mahagathbandhan proves that this will be their nature in the future as well, so the voters have made up their minds for NDA."
Bihar Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) chief Dilip Jaiswal hit out at the Congress-Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD)-led Mahagathbandhan on Thursday, hinting at a rift within the alliance as the Opposition is yet to announce its seat-sharing arrangement.
"There is no problem anywhere. As of now, Mahagathbandhan has neither provided the correct figures about their seat sharing nor announced their candidates. NDA will win by a two-thirds majority," Jaiswal told reporters.
A day earlier, folk and devotional singer Maithili Thakur joined the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) in Patna in the presence of Bihar BJP President Dilip Jaiswal.
Thakur is likely to contest the upcoming state assembly elections from Alinagar in Darbhanga, according to the sources. The polling for Bihar's 243-seat Assembly is scheduled to take place on November 6 and November 11, with the counting set for November 14.
Meanwhile, Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) Bihar President Dilip Jaiswal said that the party will announce its first list of candidates for the forthcoming Bihar Assembly polls on Monday evening.
