Due to heavy downpours in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, at least nine people have died in rain-related incidents, and the province's Lower and Upper Chitral districts have been declared in an emergency till August 15, according to Dawn.
"On July 18, 2023 during evening hours, an explosion had occurred at an eatery located in Middle Bazar, Shimla. In this incident one person had reportedly died and about 10-12 persons were injured," the police said.
As per the information, both were trying to install the banner of actor Surya when they were electrocuted. According to police, the incident occurred when an iron rod of the flexi came into contact with an overhead electric wire. Both the youths died on the spot.
Khyber Pakhtunkhwa's Provincial Disaster Management Authority (PDMA) in its latest report said nine people had died over the last 24 hours, including two in Swat, two in Battagram, four in Mansehra and one in Buner.

Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) leader Thourya Nayak and his son died in a road accident while they were travelling from Narsingi to Chegunta on Saturday, the police said.
Two labourers died while four were severely injured due to lightning strike in the Kachhar village under the Bakswaha police station area in the Chhatarpur district, according to the police on Saturday.
As per the ministry, the journalists were wounded in a Ukrainian artillery strike on Saturday. They were evacuated from the battlefield but RIA correspondent Rostislav Zhuravlev died during the journey, it said.
Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Rakesh Kumar said, "Two people have died and three were injured during the firing. The injured are undergoing treatment. The four accused came in two bikes."
