The two IT professionals, who were travelling on a bike, died on May 19 at 2.30 am after a car allegedly driven by a drunk 17-year-old boy crashed into them.

Vignesh, son of deceased Jaya Murugan who died after consuming illicit liquor in Tamil Nadu's Kallakurichi, said on Sunday that if he had known earlier that the liquor was spurious, he could have saved multiple lives in his village Madavancheri.
The bodies of the people who died after consuming illicit liquor in Tamil Nadu's Kallakurichi and were buried without postmortem were exhumed on Sunday to confirm the spurious liquor consumption for providing ex-gratia.
"Acting on the same, after informing the fire service, police reached the spot and extinguished the fire at the house, rescued the injured and sent them to the hospital for treatment. 3 individuals died during treatment and the other 4 are undergoing treatment," he informed.
