Two people died, including a child, in an Improvised Explosive Device (IED) blast in Pakistan's Bettani Lakki Marwat district in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, ARY News reported.
A 57-year-old woman allegedly died due to electrocution after coming in contact with an electric wire in Cholavaram in Tamil Nadu's Thiruvallr district, police said on Monday.
Police station in-charge Inspector Jaswinder Singh said, "A car was coming from the Makhu side while the truck loaded with paddy was coming from the Moga side. Due to the collision between a truck and a car, five youths died on the spot."
"Due to critical conditions, 9 passengers were referred to Jaipur. 4 passengers died, two women and two men were among the dead. The bodies of the deceased are kept in the mortuary of Dosa District Hospital." added the police.
M Madhankumar (28), a student at the Rajendra Institute of Medical Sciences in Jharkhand, was found dead with burn injuries near a hostel building at the institute on Thursday.
The Director of the National Zoological Park, Akanksha Mahajan, said, "We are doing water sprinkling on a regular basis. The thick layer of haze does not come down to ground level keeping the animal enclosures clean due to the sprinkling of water. We are using jet sprays for sprinkling".
