Prime Minister Narendra Modi undertook a visit to Ukraine Friday at the invitation of the President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelenskyy. The leaders during their discussions ensured a comprehensive, just, and lasting peace through dialogue and diplomacy.

Amid the ongoing conflict between Russia and Ukraine, External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar on Monday said that the solution will not emerge from the battlefield, adding that it is imperative to return to dialogue and diplomacy.

According to sources, the Indian side will convey to the Russians that "there is no solution on the battlefield" and that "dialogue and diplomacy is the way forward."
