Samajwadi Party (SP) president Akhilesh Yadav on Tuesday took a jibe at the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) over Vice President Jagdeep Dhankhar, questioning the absence of a formal farewell and urging BJP leaders to check on his well-being.

Congress MP Manish Tewari commented on the resignation of Vice President Jagdeep Dhankar on Tuesday, calling the last 15 hours eventful, adding that the resignation was accepted in haste.
The vacant post of Vice President is to be filled "as soon as possible" with the constitutional norms not mentioning a specific time frame, government sources said on Tuesday.

Speaking exclusively to ANI, Tejashwi Yadav questioned whether the resignation was voluntary or forced, highlighting that if health issues were the reason, Dhankhar could have stepped down before the session began.
Congress leader Randeep Surjewala on Tuesday slammed the BJP following the resignation of Vice President Jagdeep Dhankar, stating that the party has a track record of "weakening both constitutional offices and processes".
