Investigations revealed that a number of individuals with annual incomes exceeding Rs 5 lakh had obtained ration cards meant for economically weaker sections. These fake ration cards were then used to illegally generate Ayushman cards and claim subsidised health services under the scheme.
In a move to curb the misuse of public welfare schemes, Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami on Saturday directed authorities to take stringent action against those fraudulently availing benefits.

He said that by connecting small cities and remote areas with air connectivity through the Udan scheme, not only has air travel become accessible to the common citizens, but the local economy has also been strengthened.
CM Dhami said, "I am pleased to inform you that, in the 2023-24 index of the Government of India's NITI Aayog, Uttarakhand has ranked first in the entire country in achieving the goals of sustainable development."
CM Dhami informed that considering the seriousness of the issue, Union Minister Amit Shah assured that Centre's emergency relief agencies, NDRF/ITBP are being deployed promptly to ensure that the Char Dham Yatra is not disrupted and that devotees face no inconvenience in their travel.
