Prime Minister Narendra Modi is set to inaugurate the 38th National Games in Dehradun, Uttarakhand, today. Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami has welcomed PM Modi, calling his arrival an "unforgettable and proud moment for every player."
According to an official release, the Prime Minister will inaugurate programmes in Odisha at around 11 am at Janata Maidan in Bhubaneswar. Thereafter, he will travel to Dehradun in Uttarakhand and at around 6 PM, he will inaugurate the 38th National Games.
"Your special attachment towards Devbhoomi is not hidden from anyone and every person of Devbhoomi also loves you very much. Under your able leadership, Devbhoomi Uttarakhand is going to host the 38th National Games," said CM Dhami in his post.
To commemorate this milestone, Chief Minister Dhami said that January 27 will be observed annually as "UCC Diwas," highlighting its significance in India's post-independence history.
