The Delhi Police arrested two Bangladeshi nationals who had been living in India illegally for years despite being deported multiple times. The accused was identified as Ibrahim (36) and his brother Safruddin (38).
US District Judge verbally ordered the administration to temporary halt the deportations for 14 days questioning their ability to use the act. Judge James Boasberg also ordered any planes in the air carrying the deportees to return back to the US.
The World Uyghur Congress (WUC) has expressed its appreciation for the recent sanctions imposed by the US State Department on Thai officials involved in the deportation of Uyghur refugees to China.

"Instead of sending them on a regular passenger flight, why were they sent on a goods flight. This means PM Modi's friend is treating our people like slaves. We could have sent our flight to bring them back," Kharge said.
"I am sure immigration will be discussed. My view is that when deportations take place, they need to take place humanely where those being deported are treated with appropriate dignity, not harassed or treated in inhumane conditions," Khanna said.
The President and CEO of the US-India Strategic Partnership Forum (USISPF) Mukesh Aghi acknowledged concerns surrounding the treatment of individuals during deportation and said that Indians should "not be handcuffed and chained."
Tewari questioned whether India would allow these individuals to be returned in degrading conditions, while External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar continues to travel the world attending "inane conferences."
