Teams of the National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) carried out rescue operations in the low-lying areas near Pragati Maidan late on Saturday night as the Yamuna River continues to overflow.
Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) tweeted, "Speed restriction imposed while crossing Metro bridges over Yamuna has been removed. All trains are running at normal speed now."
Amid the prevailing flood situation in parts of the national capital, Delhi Public Works Department minister Atishi Marlena, on Saturday, said that the PWD is working on a war-footing to ensure that roads and traffic return to normalcy as soon as possible.
Amid the rising water level of the Yamuna river which led water logging and floods in low lying areas in the National capital, the Chief Minister, on Saturday, took to Twitter and stated that the water level of the river is gradually decreasing.
Several areas of the city are under water as the water level of River Yamuna rose following heavy rainfall and the release of water from the Hathnikund Barrage in neighbouring Haryana.
Earlier, at 9 PM on Friday, the water level of Yamuna was recorded at 208.07 metres. CWC had expected the water level to be at 208.05 Metres on July 14 (Friday) between 10:00 PM to 12:00 AM. But the water level came down faster than the expectations of the Central Water Commission.&n
Delhi Government said that the present level of river water at Old Railway Bridge (ORB) at 09:00 PM on July 14 is 208.07 Meters and is expected to flow around 208.05 Metres.

The India Meteorological Department (IMD) on Tuesday issued an ‘orange alert’ in Delhi as the water level of the Yamuna river has breached the danger mark of 205.33 meter owing to incessant rains in Delhi and surrounding areas.
The rail traffic over the old Yamuna bridge was temporarily suspended on Tuesday as the water level crossed the dangermark in the Yamuna due to heavy downpuour in the city, officials said.
