The Delhi Traffic Police have come up with a strategy to curb traffic jams on the roads during the rainy season. The Police said that they have identified nearly 80 water logging spots with past experiences.

Two boys died allegedly due to drowning near the rainwater-flooded Siraspur underpass in northwest Delhi's Samaypur Badli area on Saturday, police said.
Teams of National Disaster Response Force (NDRF), Delhi Disaster Management Authority (DDMA)and civic agencies also carried out search opeation to ensure there were no more people trapped under the rubble, officials said.
After heavy rains left Delhi waterlogged on Friday, services in the operation theatres (OTs) of the Neurosciences Centre of the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) Delhi were affected as OTs became non-functional, as per a notice by the AIIMS Delhi.
The BSES spokesperson said that heavy rains led to instances of power disruptions in some areas of the city, primarily due to water logging and trees and their branches falling on electricity cables.
Sharing information about the incident, Deputy Commissioner of Police, North East Joy Tirkey, said, "Two children died after drowning in a deep ditch that was filled with rainwater in the New Usmanpur area today. The incident took place around 5:00 pm in the New Usmanpur area."
Atishi said that a combined Emergency Control Room of all water-related departments like Delhi Jal Board, Municipal Corporation of Delhi and Irrigation and Flood Control Department will be formed, which will monitor waterlogging 24 hours a day and take action.
