DCP South West Amit Goel on Tuesday said that Chaitanyananda Saraswati, who has been accused of molesting 17 students at a Delhi institute, may have lured victims with promises of employment, exploiting his influence.

According to the police, the apprehended accused has been identified as Hari Singh Kopkoti, a resident of Bageshwar, Uttarakhand. The accused was held after one of the victim girls reported that her father had received a threatening call on September 14.
Based on the father's complaint, police have arrested the building owner, identified as Nathu Singh (68), along with three labourers involved in the construction work. The iron rod has been seized, and construction activity at the site has been halted.
