As the G20 Summit in the national capital is a week away, Delhi Lieutenant Governor VK Saxena on Sunday took stock of the preparations, underway for the mega event.
A Supreme Court Lawyer on Sunday filed a complaint with Delhi Police against Udhayanidhi Stalin, Sports Minister of the Government of Tamil Nadu and son of the Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu over a controversial statement on Saturday on ‘Santana Dharma’.
"On August 30, 2023, Waseem called the juvenile for sexually assaulting him. Upon being fed up with repeated assault, the minor with a sharp paper cutter, slit the throat of the deceased and fled the spot," police added.
In its notice the DCW has sought action taken on the incident. The DCW also sought an FIR copy of the incident along with the reasons for delaying the same.
“Security personnel are also brought in from other states and security drills are conducted daily. All guests coming here are secured," the Lt Governer said.

Delhi Traffic Police on Saturday conducted another full dress rehearsal as part of its preparations for the upcoming G20 Summit in the national capital on September 9 and 10.
Ahead of the G20 summit which will be held at the newly built international convention centre at Pragati Maidan on September 9-10, several arterial roads and other important areas in the city have been given a facelift.
A press release issued by the Delhi Traffic Police said that despite sharing the traffic advisory on social media handles and websites of the Delhi Traffic Police, it is still receiving a lot of queries from the public about its traffic management plan for the summit.
