Delhi DCP Devesh Kumar Mahala announces extensive security arrangements for New Year celebrations, with over 600 policemen and CAPF companies deployed, including women personnel for enhanced safety.
Police have set up 27 checkpoints with personnel equipped with breath analyzers to check for drunk driving and promote road safety. In addition, 14 Quick Reaction Teams (QRTs) and 16 Police Control Room (PCR) vans have been stationed at strategic locations for rapid response.
According to the police, the mother had been living here in Delhi illegally since 2005; meanwhile, the son, during interrogation, admitted to entering India via the West Bengal border in 2020 and stated that he had been residing in Katwaria Sarai with his mother.

A Delhi Court has recently granted bail to a man arrested in an illegal arms supply network to the gangs of Tillu Tajpuria and Chhenu Pehalwan. Delhi Police crime branch had busted the network after arresting the accused.
