The Delhi Jal Board (DJB) on Wednesday announced a new water policy titled 'One Zone, One Operator', under which the national capital will be divided into eight water service zones, each to be managed by a designated private operator.

The Delhi Jal Board's survey of water supply across 70 constituencies has revealed significant disparities. Minister Parvesh Verma has ordered rationalisation of water distribution to address shortages in certain areas and meet growing demands.
Additional Chief Judicial Magistrate (ACJM) Paras Dalal disposed of the application after noting the clarification from Delhi Police and submissions made by the counsel for Raghav Chadha.
"Today, 1,111 tankers are being sent, they are GPS-enabled so that they can be tracked. The routes of every tanker can be recorded. People will be able to monitor the location with the help of the tanker app," Gupta told reporters here.
The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) arrested a private person in a case related to cyber fraud for using Delhi Jal Board logo to cheat unsuspecting complainant and other victims.
According to the DJB, water supply will be interrupted from 3:00 PM to 8:00 PM in some areas. Additionally, residents of Dwarka will face a prolonged disruption, with the water supply being affected from 10:00 AM to 10:00 PM on the same day.
