The Delhi Police Special Cell in a joint operation with Uttar Pradesh Police nabbed a sharpshooter after a brief encounter in Meerut on the intervening night of April 30 and May 1, informed officials.
A Delhi Police Crime Branch team arrested an absconding accused in connection with a case pertaining to the robbery and murder of an elderly couple in the national capital, police said on Tuesday.
According to the police, the accused Kameshwar Singh was produced in the Saket court by the Crime Branch team on Saturday and the court has sent him to one day of police remand. Singh will again be produced before the court on Sunday.

The accused was arrested after continuous efforts by the police with help from the Metro station staff, further investigation is still underway, the police said.
