Russian Ambassador to India Denis Alipov on Tuesday expressed his shock over the deadly blast near Delhi's iconic Red Fort on Monday evening, which claimed at least eight lives and injured several others.
"Who will take responsibility for this incident? Amit Shah is directly responsible for this. He should immediately resign and go home. This is the government's failure. The home minister was busy in the elections yesterday," Rai told ANI.
The state has also intensified security measures in the wake of the car blast at Delhi's Red Fort on Monday that killed eight and injured several, with international and inter-state borders sealed to prevent any untoward incident.

Following the recent blast incident in Delhi, Lucknow Police on Tuesday stepped up security in the city. The police, along with a Dog Squad, are conducting vehicle checks in the Hazratganj area.
