On January 9, the Election Commission of India asked the Chief Electoral Officer of Delhi to inquire about the complaint of the Aam Aadmi Party against Parvesh Verma and take "immediate appropriate action" in accordance with the Model Code of Conduct.
Addressing a press conference, BJP MP Bansuri Swaraj highlighted the Delhi government's refusal to sign an MoU with the Centre for the Ayushman Bharat Yojana, which would have brought significant healthcare infrastructure improvements to Delhi.
He said that Lok Janshakti Party (Ram Vilas) will contest on seats that will help strengthen the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP)-led Nationalist Democratic Alliance (NDA).
He further stated that the INDIA bloc is "strong" but the parties take their own stands in different state elections, adding that the people will make the final decision.
