As the contest between Congress and Aam Aadmi Party in the Delhi Assembly election has raised questions about the divide within the INDIA bloc, Congress leader Salman Khurshid on Tuesday said that the alliance will stay intact.
Aam Aadmi Party chief Arvind Kejriwal thanked Nationalist Congress party (SCP) chief Sharad Pawar for extending his support to its INDIA bloc ally AAP over Congress for Delhi Assembly Elections.
Parvesh Verma highlighted that the BJP's approach is collective approach, where all members, rather than a single individual, play a crucial role in shaping the party's future.
Aam Aadmi Party on Tuesday launched a Bhojpuri election campaign song to woo Purvanchali voters for the upcoming Delhi Assembly election, scheduled to be held on February 5, 2025.
He questioned the need for crowdfunding Rs 40 lakh, pointing towards the alleged money being spent on volunteers. Taking a dig at AAP, the senior Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader asked, "The money they earned in the liquor scam, have you spent it all in the Goa elections?"
The Delhi Police on Tuesday strongly opposed the interim bail plea of Tahir Hussain, an accused in the 2020 Delhi riots. He has sought interim bail to contest and campaign in the upcoming Delhi Assembly Elections.
"Kejriwal doesn't have the courage to answer even one question which is being asked of him. The day he loses the election, he will go to jail. Congress is contesting to win and the party will win," Dikshit said.
He said that Lok Janshakti Party (Ram Vilas) will contest on seats that will help strengthen the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP)-led Nationalist Democratic Alliance (NDA).
Rahman, who has been given a ticket by the AIMIM to run for office in the upcoming Delhi Assembly elections, argues that his case mirrors that of Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal, who was cleared of criminal charges despite facing serious allegations.
"The Election Commission has also assured us that all these activities will be stopped, so we are very grateful to the Election Commission for their response," Kejriwal said.
