The United States has formally launched a comprehensive review of its military posture in Europe, with a senior Pentagon official, Elbridge Colby, saying the exercise is aimed at accelerating NATO's transition towards Europe assuming primary responsibility for its conventional defence.
In a post on X, the Chairman of the Board of Directors of Yemen's state news agency Saba Nasruddin Amer cited a military source in the Ministry of Defense, who characterised the Saudi statements as a cover-up for air defence failures.
As reported by ISNA news agency, Iran Army spokesperson Mohammad Akraminia said that the US had failed to achieve its objectives during the conflict and suggested Washington was reassessing its strategy, with the claim that it is allegedly under Israeli influence.
"The Islamic Republic, in accordance with the fundamental principles and rules of international law, particularly the principle of self-defense, will not hesitate to defend its national interests and security," the ministry cautioned.
"Our Armed Forces are ready to keep the United Kingdom safe from any kind of attacks, whether it's on our soil or from abroad. The UK stands ready 24/7 to defend itself," the spokesperson said, as quoted by CNN.
