Ministry of Defence said on Sunday that some speculative reports emerged in sections of social media referring to the price and other terms of purchase of 31 predator drones(MQ-9B drones) from the US have ulterior motives and are aimed at derailing the due acquisition process.
Putin's statement comes after Yevgeny Prigozhin, the alleged head of the Wagner mercenary group, in a series of recordings released on social media on Saturday, announced that his troops had taken control of military facilities in two Russian cities.
Russian Ministry of Defence noted that Russia has already provided such assistance to all the fighters and commanders who applied for it. It further said that it would "guarantee everyone's safety."

India is all set to finalise a deal for acquiring MQ-9 Reaper armed drones from the US in a Defence Acquisition Council meeting (DAC) to be held today in the national capital, said Defence officials.
The acquisition of these drones is scheduled to come up for discussion during an important high-level meeting of the defence ministry on Thursday, defence sources told ANI here.
