The Karnataka government has announced a compensation of Rs 5 lakhs each to the kin of the deceased in a major fire incident at a firecracker store in Attibele of Anekal town on Saturday.
The Police said, "At approximately 4:37 pm, authorities received a 911 call requesting a welfare check at a residence on Titus Lane in Plainsboro. Upon their arrival Plainsboro Police Department discovered four deceased victims in the house."
Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Friday expressed grief over the loss of lives in the fire at a building in Goregaon, Mumbai and announced an ex-gratia of Rs 2 lakh each for the next of kin of the deceased and Rs 50 thousand for people who sustained injuries.
The incident was reported from Tehwara of Katra police station area, in the district. The deceased have been identified as 7-year-old Soni Kumari and 36-year-old Ramprasad Sahni.
The Sikkim Government on Wednesday confirmed that 14 people have died so far in the flash floods that occurred in Sikkim in the early hours of Wednesday. The 14 deceased are all civilians while 102 people are still missing.
"My deepest condolences to the families of those who lost their lives in the flash flood in Sikkim. It is a real tragedy and we offer our prayers for strength, support to those affected and quick recovery from the calamity," the Bhutanese foreign minister wrote on 'X' formerly Twitter on Wed
"I would like to offer my condolences to the family of Mr. Solraj and his family and I have decided to give two lakh rupees each from the Chief Minister's General Relief Fund to the families of the deceased," Tamil Nadu Chief Minister said.
According to details, the incident occurred in the factory area. The deceased has been identified as 50-year-old Shakeela and 20-year-old Alisha. Police and forensic teams reached the spot of the incident immediately, as per ARY News.
Tamil Nadu Chief Minister MK Stalin on Saturday announced ex-gratia of Rs two lakh to the next of kin of the deceased, who died in a bus accident in Tamil Nadu's Marapalam.
