On January 11, 2024, a PCR call alerted police to a potential suicide at a rented house in Laxmi Park, Nihal Vihar. Upon arrival, officers found the deceased lying on the bed in a first-floor room.
An FIR was registered under 279 and 304A of the IPC on the basis of the complaint by deceased's father after which the bus driver was apprehended and the bus involved in the accident was also seized by police.
The explosion took place at village Moo 3 in Tambon Salakhao of Muang district in Thailand at around 3:30 pm (local time). So far, 20 deceased people have been identified.
In tribute to the indomitable spirit and sacrifice of security personnel, the Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal-led Delhi government announced an ex-gratia of Rs 1 crore to the families of six deceased personnel who laid down their lives in the line of duty.
The incident occurred within the limits of Bhamora police station when the deceased, identified as Brahmapal Singh (70), went to check his crops and was shot by the perpetrators.
The police reached Meena Bazar at Jama Masjid area and on inquiry, the deceased was identified as Armaan (19) alias Kasim, resident of Ghaziabad. He died of a stab injury in the upper part of his body, police said.
District Police Officer (DPO) Muhammad Imran said that the deceased in the firing incident in the Sadda area of Kurram District included two security personnel, a driver and a woman.
