"As per the information received till now, there are 238 casualties. Around 650 injured passengers have been taken to the Hospitals of Gopalpur, Khantapara, Balasore, Bhadrak and Soro," the South Eastern Railway said.
Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik on Saturday arrived at Balsore in the State, the site of last night's mishap involving three trains in which the death toll this morning had gone up to 238 and over 900 injured.
Odisha chief secretary Pradeep Jena on Saturday confirmed that the death toll in the train accident in Balasore has risen sharply to 207 and the number of injured passengers is now at 900.

According to the sources, a team of the Criminal Investigation Department (CID) from Kolkata reached the spot at 9.45 pm on Tuesday and launched an investigation with the help of forensic experts after the state government handed over the case to CID.
The deceased in Villuparam incident have been identified as Shankar, Suresh, Dharanivel, Rajamoorthy, Vijayan, Mannakatti, Malarvizli, Abhiragam, Kesava Velu, Shankar, Vijayan, and Sarath Kumar.
