Delhi Lieutenant Governor VK Saxena on Saturday visited the 187-year-old heritage St James' Church at Kashmere Gate and took stock of the restoration and renovation work being undertaken by the Delhi Development Authority (DDA).
In this regard, Saurabh Bhardwaj took to Twitter and said, " Respected Delhi LG this rejuvenation work has been undertaken by Arvind Kejriwal-led DJB. The elected Govt of Delhi is working on around 3 dozen water bodies of DDA. Please don't take undue credit."
The Supreme Court on Monday directed the Delhi Development Authority (DDA) to stop for a week its ongoing drive for demolition of illegal constructions in the Vishwas Nagar area of East Delhi to enable residents to relocate.
According to an official release, the move will enable the development of Kanjhawala in North West Delhi by Delhi State Industrial and Infrastructure Development Corporation (DSIIDC) as per the provisions of the Delhi Industrial Development, Operation and Maintenance (DIDOM) Act, 2010.
Lieutenant Governor VK Saxena on Tuesday reviewed the progress of work on the ambitious in situ rehabilitation project at Jailorwala Bagh and the adjoining world-class nursery Vaishnavi being developed by DDA in North Delhi.
Lt. Governor VK Saxena visited Sanjay Lake in East Delhi today and directed officials to undertake immediate steps to restore and rejuvenate the dying water body by June 30.
The Delhi High Court has recently asked Delhi Development Authority (DDA) to file an affidavit over the denial of dialysis to an Economically Weaker Section (EWS) patient by a private Hospital. The hospital claimed that it purchased the land from the DDA in an auction.

LG V K Saxena chaired a meeting with the horticulture divisions of the different departments and agencies on Wednesday. He directed the officials of the different departments to come up with a plan within 15 days with the goal of turning the capital into the 'City of Flower'.
