The Indian Air Force continued relief operations till sunset in Chennai on Wednesday in the aftermath of cyclone Michaung which has left several parts of the city inundated.
Governor of Tamil Nadu R N Ravi on Wednesday extended heartfelt condolences to the families of those who have lost their loved ones due to Cyclone Michaung.
The Odisha Special Relief Commissioner has directed district collectors to immediately assess the damage caused to crops due to rains due to cyclone Michaung. Assistance will be given as per SDRF norms.
India Meteorological Department Director General Dr Mrityunjay Mohapatra on Wednesday said that the cyclonic storm Michaung weakened and won't have any disastrous impact.
Half-yearly exams for school students have been postponed in severally affected districts of Tamil Nadu due to Cyclone Michaung, said Tamil Nadu School Education Department.
