Ahead of the anticipated landfall of Cyclone Dana along the coasts of Odisha and West Bengal, the District Fisheries Officer (Biology and Technology) spoke regarding the government's preparedness efforts.
Odisha Deputy CM KV Singh Deo on Wednesday said that multiple departments in the state have been instructed to be on high alert as the India Meteorological Department (IMD) has predicted heavy rainfall as Cyclone Dana is expected to make landfall on October 24.
Odisha government has announced that schools in 14 districts of the state will remain closed from October 23 to October 25 due to the impending cyclonic storm Dana.
