Union Minister for Youth Affairs and Sports Mansukh Mandaviya once again spearheaded the Fit India Sundays on Cycle in Junagadh, Gujarat, today. Simultaneously, the cycling rally was flagged off by the Chief Minister of Kerala, Pinarayi Vijayan, from Cliff House, Trivandrum.
Spreading Prime Minister Narendra Modi's message of fighting obesity and indulging in a healthy and active lifestyle, Dr Mandaviya said, "Cycling not only enhances one's health but also builds character."
During the event, Mandaviya spoke about the benefits of cycling and how the campaign had become a "work culture" in the country. He also said that cycling can help in fulfilling Prime Minister Narendra Modi's resolve of 'Viksit Bharat' (developed India).
The morning's event was held in partnership with the Sports, Physical Education, Fitness and Leisure Skills Council (SPEFL-SC) and the Cycling Federation of India (CFI).
