After the success of season 1, Legends League Cricket is back with the second season from September 20 to October 10, 2022, which would feature 4 privately owned franchisees.
Mumbai (Maharashtra) [India], July 20 (ANI): Strengthening its growing international footprint in cricket, Reliance Industries Limited (RIL) on Wednesday announced that it will acquire a franchise in Cricket South Africa's upcoming T20 league.
The Proteas currently sit precariously in 11th place on the Super League standings, with only the top eight teams qualifying for next year's 50-over tournament in India.
Du Plessis is among a group of players that are no longer contracted by Cricket South Africa and it remains to be seen whether any free agents will be selected to play for the Proteas at the T20 showcase that starts in Australia in October.
South Africa are in Group B and will come up against New Zealand, England, and Sri Lanka for a place in the semi-finals, with the final set for August 7.
