Prime Minister Narendra Modi arrived at the Ahmedabad airport on Friday morning and is scheduled to visit the crash site of the Air India flight AI171, hours after the incident claimed the lives of 241 people, including 12 crew members.
Reliance Industries Chairman and Managing Director Mukesh Ambani expressed deep sorrow over the tragic crash of an Air India flight in Ahmedabad that claimed several lives.
Speaking to reporters at the site, NDRF official Hariom Gandhi said, "Our team is on standby and working. Our six teams are working on the ground. Wait for some time... We cannot give any numbers until the site is completely cleared."
Speaking to ANI, Pawan Khera said, "It was a very sad day in our lives. From the visuals that we are watching on television, things don't look very good. We can only hope. We offer prayers to all the passengers and their family members. I think it is a sad day for the country."
